HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD: EDISON FINDS SUCCESS AT TIOGA TWISTED TRACK MEET (24 PHOTOS) (2024-04-21)

TIOGA CENTER — The Edison track and field team took fifth at the Tioga Twisted Track Meet on Friday night.

The way the meet worked was a boy and a girl for each school competed in events, and the total combined time/distance determined the winners.

Hannah Lasko and Darius Kelley won the 400 meters for Edison. The 200 meter team of Lasko and Cody Lucero also won.

Mayla Falank and Jameson Duggan won the 3000/3200 meters.

Brenden Smith, Lasko, Lucero and Reagan Peris won the mixed 4x400 relay in 4:11.54.

In the 800 meters Reagan Peris and Garrison Balash had a sixth place finish for the Express.

The 400 hurdles team of Riley Thresher and Brenden Smith took third. Teammates Sabou Diakite and Auggie Ector finished sixth.

In the mixed 4x200 relay Elliott Riffle, Madelyn Morrison, Jha’Zere Muniz and Rayleigh Cowan took fourth in 2:01.24.

Kelley, Falank, Balash and Alexis Mosher took fifth in the mixed 4x800 relay in 11:14.45. In the mixed 4x100 relay Tim Gleason, Daniel Cruz, Isabella Lamb and Maya Derenzo took fifth in 50.92.

Anna Haralson and Talon LaPlante took third in the shot put. Rebecca Haralson and LaPlante took sixth in the discus.

Kelley and Arabella Mirando took fifth in the long jump.

Madelyn Morrison and Ze’Quan Mosley took fourth in the pole vault.

For individual finishers in the boys’ 100 Lucero was second in 11.74 with Elliot Riffle seventh in 13.06.

Lucero won the 200 in 23.83 and Cruz was seventh in 26.5.

Kelley was second in the 400 in 57.99 and Daniel Stern was fifth in 1:09.22.

Balash was fifth in the 800 in 2:21.79 and Duggan took fifth in the 1600 in 5:17.11 with Zachary Sternfels 10th in 6:01.97.

Duggan was fourth in the 3200 in 11:55.56 and Sternfels was ninth in 13:20.39.

Ector was eighth in the 110 hurdles in 22.47 and Smith was second in the 400 hurdles in 1:07.21 with Ector fourth in 1:10.07.

Tim Gleason was fifth in the high jump at 5-feet and Kelley was eighth in the long jump at 15-feet, 9 3/4-inches.

Mark Cornacchio was eighth in the triple jump at 32-feet, 5 1/2-inches followed by Kelley at 32-feet, 4 3/4-inches.

Mosley was fifth int he pole vault at 7-feet, 6-inches and LaPlante was third in the discus at 108-feet, 4-inches followed by Brycen Gunnip at 97-feet, 2-inches.

LaPlante won the shot put at 43-feet, 1/2-inches followed by Gunnip at 42-feet, 9 1/4-inches.

In the girls’ 100 Lasko was second in 13.85 and Isabella Lamb was sixth in 14.97.

Lasko was second in the 200 in 29.03 with Makya Derenzo eighth in 31.70.

Lasko won the 400 in 1:07.52 and peers was sixth in the 800 in 3:01.37 with Alexis Mosher 10th in 3:23.03.

Falank won the 3000 in 13:08.15 followed by Sophia Mirando in 13:34.43.

Diakite was 10th in the 100 hurdles in 21.47 and in the 400 hurdles Thresher was seventh in 1:35.12 with Diakite ninth in 1:42.37.

Arabella Mirando was seventh in the high jump at 3-feet, 10-inches and she was fourth in the long jump at 12-feet, 5 1/2-nches with Diakite ninth at 11-feet, 4 3/4-inches.

Arabella Mirando was seventh in the triple jump at 27-feet with Allyson Balash ninth at 25-feet, 2 1/2-inches.

Morrison tied for fourth in the pole vault at 5-feet and Rebecca Haralson was 10th in the discus at 53-feet, 4-inches.

Anna Haralson was fifth in the shot put at 22-feet, 8 3/4-inches with Brandalyn Bleecker seventh at 22-feet, 1/4-inches.
