ENDWELL — Horseheads took the lead in the top of the fifth, but Maine-Endwell answered back in the bottom half of the inning as the Blue Raiders fell 9-6 on Thursday.

Horseheads scored two in the third, but the Spartans came right back with three in the bottom of the third and a run in the fourth to go up 4-2.

Horseheads scored three in the fifth to lead 5-4, before the Spartans answered with five in the fifth to get the win.

Caitlyn Yearick and Olivia French each hit home runs for Horseheads in the game.

Yearick had two RBI and two runs scored on the day and Franch had a solo home run.

Kailey McCormick had two hits and an RBI in the game and Sophia Bonnell had a hit and scored a run.

Reagan Burge and Megan Wolf each scored runs in the game.

Wolf worked 4 2/3 innings, striking out eight, and Chloe Perritt worked 1 1/3 innings, striking out two.

Tessa L'Amoreaux had three hits with an RBI and a run scored for Maine-Endwell and Isabel Hunter had two hits, two RBI and a run scored. Emily Bealla and Lauren Dundon each had doubles for the Spartans.
