Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — Corning hit two home runs and scored multiple runs in five different innings as they topped Horseheads 16-4 on Monday afternoon.
Peyton Sullivan and Sophia Polzella each hit home runs in the game.
Sullivan had a home run, a double, four RBI and three runs scored and Polzella had a home run, a double, two RBI and four runs scored.
Daphne Sherman had two hits, with a double, two RBI and two runs scored and Matti Johnston had a double, an RBI and three runs scored.
Sydney Layton had a double, an RBI and a run scored and Kayleigh Sparks had a double, an RBI and a run scored.
Jade Cook had a hit and scored a run and Emelia Smith scored a run.
Sullivan worked 3 2/3 innings in the game, striking out six and allowing one hit and one earned run. Johnston struck out four in three innings.
Caitlin Yearick had two hits for Horseheads with a run scored and Megan Wolf, Maddie Rible, Reagan Burge and Sophia Bonnell had hits in the game.
Wolf, Ribble and Burger scored runs, while Bonnell, Olivia French and Chloe Perritt had RBI.
Wolf worked an inning, striking out one and allowing one earned run on no hits. Perritt worked five innings, striking out four and Burge pitched an inning, striking out two.
