BIG FLATS — Horseheads stayed unbeaten on the year, while Notre Dame’s Evelyn Wheeler earned medalist honors to lead the Crusaders to their first girls’ golf win in program history.

Horseheads shot 198, while Vestal was second at 205. Notre Dame shot 250 to finish ahead of Moravia at 295.

Mady Weigand led Horseheads with a 46 and Ava Fairbrother and Olivia Hatch each shot 48, while Sophie Hulslander shot 56.

Sammy Bonnell had a 62 and Ellie Padgett shot 68.

Wheeler earned medalist honors for Notre Dame with a 44, while Emma Steed shot 60. Alexis Becker shot 70 and Bella Smith was at 76.

Vestal got a 45 from Allison Yoon and Jaelynn Wiggins and Molly Schoenfeldt each shot 52, while Natalie Christensen shot 56. Madison Lilley shot 60 and Stella Tomancik shot 62.
