SOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame softball team broke things open in the third, fourth and fifth innings as they beat Sayre 11-7 in a non-league game Thursday.

Down 2-0, Notre Dame had five in the third, three in the fourth and three more in the fifth to get the win.

Madison Fargo had three hits, with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored.

Kayleigh Ayres had a double and scored two runs, with an RBI and Danasia Darrow had a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Layla Sullivan had a double and scored two runs and Payton Sutryk had a double and two RBI, while Sadie Potter had two RBI and two runs scored.

Sullivan struck out seven and allowed six hits in the win.

Raegan Parrish had two hits, with an RBI and two runs scored for Sayre and Zoe Ward had two hits, with two RBI and a run scored, while Mercedes Haggerty had two hits and an RBI.
