Waverly — Down 7-3 after three innings, the Elmira Express scored five in the fourth and five more in the sixth to top Waverly 14-12 on Wednesday.

Elmira struck first with three in the third, but Waverly had seven in the bottom half of the inning.

Elmira scored five in the fourth to go up 8-7, but Waverly had two in the fourth and two in the fifth to go up 10-8.

Elmira got five in the with to take a 13-10 lead on their way to the win.

Addison Taft had three hits, with a home run, a double, four RBI and three runs scored.

Aleida Agouti had three hits, with two doubles, and three RBI and Maddy Cavalier had two hits, with a run scored, while Ava Cornacchio had two hits with a run scored.

Addisyn Chorney had a double, an RBI and two runs scored and Lily Cornacchio had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, while Ava Sherman had a hit and scored two runs.

Ryleigh Ogden had a hit and scored a run and Kae Thomas had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Ava Cornacchio worked 4 1/3 innings, striking out six and Madison Smith got one out, while Agosto worked 2 1/3 innings.
