TRAVEL SOFTBALL: FURY FASTPITCH 13U RANKED NO. 1 IN REGION (2024-04-08)

An area youth travel softball team is ranked the number one team in the Northeast Region by Extra Inning Softball.

The Fury Fastpitch 13u was chosen to lead the EIS Region I (Northeast) as the top ranked team among the 75 ranked teams among 13 states.

The list serves as a part of Extra Inning Softball’s Extra Elite 100 National Rankings for the Class of 2028.

The Big Flats based team earned the honor, following a dominant 2023 season. The Fury won 6 major tournaments and finished runner-up twice. The top-ranked team in the region outscored opponents 464-93 last year.

The Fury are coached by John Mahon, Michael Wheeler and Shannon Ells and is looking to have an even better record than the 69-13-1 mark a year ago.

The Roster includes Bella Beres (2028), Paige Ells (2028), Aubrey Griffith (2028), Lauren Mahon (2029), Anna Osborne (2029), Hannah Kauffman (2028), Lilah LaBarron (2028), Rosie Wheeler (2028), Aubrey Maticic (2028) and Annabelle Decker (2029).

The 13 states included in the region are Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia.
