COLLEGE SOFTBALL: CORNING'S BENNETT PITCHING WELL FOR LEMOYNE, HORSEHEADS GRAD WOLF GETS FIRST COLLEGIATE HIT (2024-03-29)

Corning grad Laura Bennett has 78 strikeouts on the mound this season for the LeMoyne women’s softball team.

Bennett had a 10 strikeout game in a win over Norfolk State. In that game she threw seven innings of shutout ball, with a 10-1 strikeout to walk ratio. On the season Bennett has a 78-12 strikeout to walk ratio.

Bennett had a stretch earlier in March where she had four wins in six appearances. Including an eight-inning win over Merrimack, and then she came back the next day with a two-inning save, allowing no runs in the save.

Bennett has a 4.57 ERA on the season.

Horseheads graduate Molly Wolf got her first collegiate hit against Merrimack and she has scored runs in four of the past five games she’s played in.
