HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: HORSEHEADS EDGED BY VESTAL ON THE ROAD (2023-03-29)

VESTAL — Horseheads got four hits from the top two hitters in the lineup, but came up short against Vestal 5-2 on Thursday.

Megan Wolf had two hits, with a double, and an RBI as the leadoff hitter and Maddie Ribble added two hits hitting behind her in the loss.

Chloe Perritt had a hit and scored a run and Sophia Bonnell had a hit and scored a run, while Anna Powell had an RBI.

Megan Wolf worked 3 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and three runs, striking out five. Perritt worked 2 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and two runs.

Reilly Storer allowed six hits and two runs, one earned, striking out six for Vestal. Caitlyn Petteys, a UConn commit, had two hits to lead Vestal.
