COLLEGE BASEBALL: ELMIRA GRAD MAX ODUM NAMED AMCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK (2024-03-18)

Elmira graduate Max Odum was named the AMCC Player of the Week for Wells College.

Odum hit .417 over the six games, with 11 RBI and five extra base hits. He had no errors defensively during the week.

The Elmira graduate had multi-hit games in four of the six games for the week. He scored 10 runs on the week.

Max is hitting .294 this year with 21 runs scored and 17 RBI. He has four doubles, two triples and a home runs. He’s third on the team in hitting and he also has a .409 on-base percentage.

Max’s brother, Zack Odum, leads the team with a .389 average and 16 runs, with 14 RBI. He has three doubles and one triple and a .460 on-base percentage.

Corning’s Mason Smith and Edison’s Ashton Colunio are also on the team.  Smith leads the team with 15 1/3 innings pitched, and leads the team with two wins, going 2-1 on the mound in three starts. He has 13 strikeouts this year.
