COLLEGE BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS GRAD GRANGER OFF TO STRONG START FOR FINGER LAKES CC (March 14, 2024)
Southern Tier Sports Report Horseheads graduate Lucas Granger is off to a hot start for the Finger Lakes Community College baseball team, with a .389 average through six games this year.
Granger has hits in five of the six games, and multiple hits in two games this year.
In a doubleheader on Thursday Granger had hits in both games, including his first home run of rate season.
Granger had three RBI, and a home run, with two runs scored, in game two and a double, two runs scored and an RBI in the other game.
Granger also has walked nine times this season and he has five stolen bases.
The Horseheads graduate has three doubles, six RBI and 10 runs scored.
Granger is third on the team in batting average and has an on-base percentage of .577, more than 100 points higher than any other player on the team with at least 10 at-bats.
Granger is tied for third on the team in RBI, leads the teams in runs scored, and is second on the team in doubles. He leads the team in hits.
