COLLEGE BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS GRAD SCOTT HAS THREE-HIT GAME, 4 HITS ON DAY AS MU BASEBALL SPLITS WITH SHIP (March 12, 2024)

Horseheads graduate Ryan Scott had a three hit game, and finished with four hits in the doubleheader as the Mansfield baseball team finished their first series of conference action on Monday.

Mansfield went on the road and earned a split at Shippensburg for the doubleheader on Monday. Mansfield won game one 8-3, behind the three-hit day by Scott, and then Shippensburg won game two 13-4.

Scott was 3-for-5 with a run scored in the opener, starting in center field.

In game two Scott was 1-for-2 with a run scored and a walk. His hit in that game was a double.

The three-hit game was the first of the year for Scott, who had two other multi-hit games this year. He’s hitting .255 on the year with 11 runs scored and three doubles.

Scott has hits in three of his past four games and four of his past six games.
