COLLEGE BASEBALL: ND GRAD CHARNETSKI OFF TO DOMINANT START FOR ELMIRA COLLEGE (2024-02-29)
Southern Tier Sports ReportNotre Dame graduate Erik Charnetski is hitting .500 through the first six games of his Elmira College baseball career, with eight RBI and nine runs scored in those games.
Charnetski, who started his collegiate career at St. John Fisher, is having a dominant start with his hometown team, going 8-for-16 to start the season.
Charnetski has two home runs in the past four games, hitting one against Wells and one against Valley Forge.
The Notre Dame graduate has eight RBI, all in the past four games, four against Wells. He has scored multiple runs four times this year for his four runs this year.
Charnetski also has seven walks this year for a .704 on-base percentage.
The Notre Dame graduate also has two doubles on the year. He has hits in five of the six games this year, including the past four games. He has two multi hit games this season.
Charnetski has started all six games and leads the team in OPS (1.704), slugging (1.000), batting average, on-base percentage, home runs and hits. .Heβs second on the team in RBI and is tied for second in runs scored, and tied for first in doubles. He also is tied for the team lead being hit by a pitch four times this year.
