HIGH SCHOOL BOYS' BASKETBALL: EDISON WRAPS UP SEASON AGAINST GROTON (15 PHOTOS) (2024-02-13)
Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Edison boys’ baseketball team wrapped up the season with a hard-fought game against Groton on Tuesday night.
Edison lost to Groton 60-57 to wrap up the season.
Talon LaPlante led Edison with 18 points and Jaden Bennett finished with 13 points.
Drew Slaven had eight points and Marquise Bradley finished with seven points.
Brenden Smith had five points, Blake Cobb had four and Garrison Balash finished with two points.
Edison trailed 14-8 after one quarter and it was 27-23 at the half. Groton led 40-35 after three, before scoring 22 points in the fourth, when both teams scored 20 or more points in the quarter.
