ELMIRA — The Elmira Express held Corning to 20 second-half points as they picked up a 76-55 win over the Hawks on Friday.

Elmira led 24-12 after one quarter, before Corning came back and took a 35-34 lead into the half.

Elmira outscored Corning 29-11 in the third to pull away for the win.

Chris Woodard had 21 points to lead Elmira. He had 13 points in the third quarter.

Tyre Daniel had 14 points, including four threes. He had eight points in the third quarter.

James Harris had 11 points, nine in the opening quarter, and Jerry Daniel and Ashtyn Traugott-Knoll had seven points each for Elmira.

Julian Colon had four points and Bobby Cavalier finished with three points. Anthony Kitching had two points and Jha’Micque Bell had one point.

Woodard had nine rebounds for Elmira and Traugott-Knoll finished with seven rebounds.

McHenry finished with four points and Harris and Bell each had two rebounds.

Nolyn Proudfoot led Corning with 26 points. He had 20 in the first half, including 12 in the second quarter when the Hawks scored 23 points.

Mekai Daniels had eight points and Kyler Stevenson had six points, while Kohl Hogue and Gavyn Hogue each had five points.

Larsen Burch had three points and Jeremy Spears finished with two points.

Proudfoot had five rebounds and an assist and Stevenson had two rebounds and a steal.

Caleb Anderson had three boards and a blocked shot and Gavyn Hogue had two assists and a rebound.

Spears had five boards and Burch had a steal and two rebounds, while Tiegen Gill had a rebound and an assist
