Southern Tier Sports Report Notre Dame graduate Molly Huddle, a two-time Olympian, ran in the Olympic Marathon Trials in Florida over the weekend.
On a hot, and sunny, day the former Crusaders star dropped out of the race after 17 miles.
For the women Fiona O’Keeffe won in 2:22.10 followed by Emily Sisson (2:22.42) and Dakotah Lindwurm (2:25.31) as those three make up the Olympic team.
For the men Conner Mantz won in 2:09.05 followed by Clayton Young (2:09.06) and Leonard Korir (2:09.57). Mantz and Young are assured Olympic spots and Korir is likely to earn a spot at the Olympics. ———— PHOTOS OF MOLLY HUDDLE BY SHEILA SUTTON.
