ELMIRA STUDENT FINDS SUCCESS IN DANCE COMPETITIONS (2024-02-07)

Elmira High School junior Emi Bennett has found plenty of success in two major dance events this season competing for Dance Force.

Bennett attended the STREETZ Dance Convention in December and received one of the top scholarships to attend their national event in Texas and the opportunity to compete for dancer of the year.

The junior also attended the SOUL DE SOUL Dance Convention this month and received a special award for her self choreographed solo, was presented with a free month of training at Genesis Studio in LA as well as being accepted into their 10-month professional training program.

Bennett also received a scholarship to attend their week long nationals event CODA in Marina Del Rey in California this summer and was selected as a SOUL Elite where she will tour and assist professional dancers next season and be part of their mentoring program.

Bennett also just won a $60,000 scholarship, alongside pre-acceptance into the dance program at AMDA’s New York and Los Angeles Campus.
