COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: ELMIRA GRAD ABRAMS EARNS CONFERENCE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONORS FOR QUEENS COLLEGE (2024-02-06)

Elmira graduate Jalea Abrams was named the ECC Rookie of the Week for the Queens College women’s basketball team.

It’s the second time this year Abrams has earned the honor, the last coming on Dec. 11.

For the week Abrams played a total of 85 minutes, averaging 13 points, on 52.9% shooting with five boards, three assists and three steals in a 1-1 week for the Knights.

In the overtime game against Mercy the Elmira grad had 11 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.

In the win against St. Thomas Aquinas College, a team receiving votes in the national rankings, Abrams had 15 points on 55.6% shooting with five boards, four assists and three steals.
