As the regular season starts to wind down for local sports, there are postseason events throughout this week, highlight by the sectional wrestling championships on Saturday.

Overall this week there are 26 events, including eight on Tuesday.

Here’s a day-by-day look at what’s going on this week, including how many events each day.

MONDAY (2)
* Corning, Elmira and Horseheads compete at the STAC Championships at Vestal.
* The Corning boys’ basketball team is at Horseheads.

TUESDAY (8)
* Corning swimming and diving hosts Ithaca.
* The Horseheads boys’ basketball team is at Maine-Endwell, Edison hosts Dryden and Notre Dame hosts Lansing.
* The Elmira girls’ basketball team hosts Binghamton, Edison is at Dryden and Notre Dame is at Lansing.
* The Edison bowling team hosts Watkins Glen.

WEDNESDAY (3)
* The Corning boys host Wellsville, Elmira is at Binghamton and Notre Dame is at SVE.

THURSDAY (3)
* The Corning girls’ basketball team hosts Elmira and Horseheads is at Ithaca.
* The Horseheads boys’ basketball team hosts Ithaca.

FRIDAY (6)
* The Corning boys’ basketball team is at Elmira, Edison hosts Lansing and Notre Dame hosts Whitney Point.
* The Horseheads girls’ basketball team is at Waverly, Edison is at Lansing and Notre Dame is at Whitney Point.

SATURDAY (4)
* The Corning, Elmira, Horseheads and Edison wrestling teams have athletes competing at the Section IV Championships for wrestling.
* The Corning track and field team is at Nazareth College.
* The Edison bowling team is at the IAC Championships.
* The Edison cheerleading team is at the IAC Championships.
