HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: ALL FOUR SENIORS SCORE ON SENIOR NIGHT AS EDISON TOPS WHITNEY POINT (24 PHOTOS) (2024-01-30) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Edison girls’ basketball team picked up a win on senior day Tuesday, topping Whitney Point 50-40.
“Always good to get a win on senior night,” Edison coach Chris Mallette said. “All four seniors scored in the first half, including Jaila Turner getting her first points of the season. Battling some sickness and nagging injuries, so hopefully we can get back close to full health for later this week.”
Payton Littlefield led the Spartans with 26 points, including 10 in the third quarter. She was 10-for-12 from the free throw line and she hit four threes in the game.
Gabby Milazzo had nine points on three threes. It’s the third straight game she’s hit three threes.
Harper Hoffmann had six points and Charlee Stroman finished with five points.
