EIGHT-MAN FOOTBALL: GUNNIP EARNS ALL-STATE HONORS, GOLDEN NAMED HONORABLE MENTION (January 10, 2024)

After a dominant year on the line Edison’s Brycen Gunnip earned all-state honors for eight-man football.

Gunnip, a 6-foot, 5-inch lineman earned honors on the offensive line.

Edison’s Greg Golden was also recognized as an honorable mention selection.

“I would like to congratulate both Brycen and Greg,” Edison coach Kyle Erickson said. “Our coaching staff is very proud of them and this is a great honor. Brycen and Greg put in tremendous amounts of hard work and extra effort and it’s nice to see what both of these young men accomplished this season.

“It’s exciting when you see your athletes receive recognition at this level. For our team I think this shows if you put in the effort and devote your time to improving and working hard it can pay off.”
