COLLEGE MEN'S BASKETBALL: CORNING GRAD CASEY HAS CAREER DAY FOR GENESEO IN MATCHUP AGAINST FELLOW CORNING GRAD PROUDFOOT (2024-01-09)

GENESEO — Corning graduate Jackson Casey had a career day as the Geneseo men’s basketball team beat another Corning graduate — Aiden Proudfoot — and Fredonia, 79-75.

Casey made his second career start, and played a career-high 33 minutes for Geneseo.

The Corning graduate had career highs in points with six, and rebounds and assists, with three each. He also had a career high two steals.

Casey also made a career best two field goals, and a career-best two threes.

Proudfoot had four points in 14 minutes, adding a rebound in the game.

Ithaca grad Justin Yearwood led Geneseo in scoring in the game with 16 points.

Yearwood and Casey are both freshmen. They played together in AAU since fifth grade.
