CORNING — The Corning wrestling team dropped a 41-24 match to Ithaca on Thursday night.

Ithaca’s Daniel Parker started things at 152 with a 20-4 technical fall win over Logan Bruce.

Corning’s Tyler Farrand picked up a pin over Edward Peck at 160 and at 170 Clayton Smith of Corning pinned Anthony Marchell.

Ithaca’s Dakota Hamilton got a forfeit win at 190 and at 215 Riley Peiffer of Corning pinned Carter Cabrera, while Corning’s Cole Doolittle pinned Germain Harris at 285.

There was a double forfeit at 101.

At 108 Caleb Bergman of Ithaca won 8-2 over Caden Barrett and at 116 Finn Kelly of Ithaca won in sudden victory-1 10-8 over Conner Crum-Brown.

Kaleb Chilson of Ithaca won by injury time over Dalton Webb at 124 and at 131 Nicholas Popowitch of Ithaca won by fall over Keegan VanCise.

Titus Scott of Ithaca pinned Nicholas Woodcock at 138 and Ithaca’s Quentin Getzin pinned Matthew Mahon at 145.

In extra matches Corning’s Paterick Akerelrea, Izatullo Mukhtarzhanov, Colin Black and Benjamin Mahon had victories.
