ELMIRA'S BEECHER NETS ASSIST ON BRUINS FIRST GOAL OF THE NIGHT (2023-12-19)

BOSTON — Elmira’s Johnny Beecher had an assist for the Boston Bruins in a 4-3 overtime loss to Minnesota on Tuesday night.

Beecher recorded his second assist of the season in the game, setting up the first Bruins goal by David Pastrnak at 11:29 of the opening period.

The goal tied the game for the Bruins.

On the season Beecher now has four goals and two assists.

Beecher played 17 shifts and 10 minutes and 10 seconds of ice time in the game. Nine minutes and 51 seconds of his time was even strength and he played 15 seconds on the penalty kill.

Beecher was 7-for-13 on face-offs in the game and he had four hits and blocked a shot, while taking a shot in the game.

Boston is now 19-5-6 on the year. They lead the Atlantic Division standings with 44 points and are second in the Eastern Conference and fourth in the NHL in points.
