COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: ELMIRA GRAD GENTILE RECORDS FIRST CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE, OFF TO HOT START AT EDINBORO (2023-11-28)

Elmira graduate Morgan Gentile has scored 34 points in her past two games for the Edinboro women’s basketball team, including a double-double in the most recent game.

After a scoreless game against Wheeling to start the year, where Gentile had three steals and four rebounds, the Elmira graduate has led the team in scoring each of the past two games.

Against West Liberty she had 15 points and five boards, with three steals, and against Findlay she had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

It’s the first-career double-double for Gentile, and the first double-digit rebounding game of her career, as she eclipsed her career-high with the 10 rebounds. She was just three points off her career high of 22 points.

A year ago Gentile averaged 6.1 points and 2.7 rebounds a game, this year she’s at 11.3 points and 6.3 rebounds a game.

Gentile is second on the team in scoring and leads the team in rebounding. She also leads the team in steals and blocked shots (5) this year.
