On Monday the Blue Raiders got back to work as they prepare for a new season.
“It’s great,” Horseheads coach Andy Scott said. “It’s awesome. These guys were a lot of fun to be around last year. They worked really hard all summertime and came all fall too. We are looking forward to a great season. A lot of good kids that put the time in and are fun to be around.”
The Blue Raiders return 11 girls from the team that won the STAC title a season ago.
“About the same as last year,” Scott said of how the roster looks this year. “We have 11 girls returning and then we’ll bring up a couple from the JV squad from last year and just try and refine and get better and hopefully the experience will come into play later.” ——— IN PHOTOS: Horseheads gets to practice Monday on the first day of winter sports practices. . .
