For the Elmira Express things haven’t come easy this football season.

Just when guys start to get healthy and back on the field they have lost other players to injury.

Last week quarterback Evan Garvin left the game with an injury.

Elmira coach Jimmy McCauley knows it’s never easy to be healthy this late in the season.

“Getting healthy is always tough at this point in the year,” McCauley said.

The Express are on the road at Union-Endicott this year, before hosting a sectional playoff game with Binghamton next week.

“We try and look at one week at a time,” McCauley said.

The Express know they face a tough test against the Tigers this week.

“UE is athletic and big,” McCauley said. “Those kids can make plays all over the field. We will have to make some of our own, and make them go to plan B.”
