HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY: FALANK SEVENTH AS EDISON GIRLS TAKE FOURTH AT IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (24 PHOTOS) (2023-10-25)

MARATHON — Mayla Falank had a seventh-place finish to help lead the Edison cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the IAC Championships on Wednesday.

Falank finished in 23:34.7. Olivia Genson of Moravia won in 21:07.4.

Notre Dame’s Lylie Colunio was 22nd in 26:01.6 and Edison’s Sophia Mirando was 28th in 27:24.1.

Edison’s Hannah Lasko finished 32nd in 28:14.5 and teammate Riley Thresher was 35th in 28:34.7 followed by Caitlin Keenan of Notre Dame in 28:36.1.

Edison’s Olivia Vinsek was 48th in 33:47.3 with teammate Will Timofeef 50th in 36:01 and Riley Shilling 52nd in 39:06.8 followed by Haylie Rosenthal in 42:26.8.

Edison was fourth with a team score of 95. Lansing won with a score of 43.

Notre Dam’es Gavin Meier was 21st in the boys race in 20:19.6 and Jameson Duggan of Edison was 39th in 21:17.1.

Edison’s Zachary Sternfels was 47th in 22:02.2 with Kaleb Podoliak 51st in 22:19.6.

Notre Dame’s Cameron Kraft was 54th in 22:37.4 and Edison’s Landon Allen was 57th in 22:55.5.

Darius Kelley was 61st in 24:24.99 and Notre Dame’s Robert Sharp was 64th in 25:46.8 followed by Carter Smith of Edison at 25:47.4.

Edison’s Shawn Kelly was 73rd in 29:50.7 followed by Notre Dame’s Trevor Agan in 30:44.6 and Edison’s Dillan Allyn-Noble in 31:15.6. Edison’s Elijah Reed was 77th in 39:02.5.

Edison was eighth as a team with 190 points. Lansing won at 42 points.
