Jose Marcotti Neto drilled a shot from outside the 18 into the net in the opening 30 seconds and that goal held up as the game’s only tally in a 1-0 win over Worcester in the sectional quarterfinals.
“I could not be more proud of the boys for playing through the bad weather and getting the result,” Notre Dame coach Josh Miller said. “It wasn’t our best performance, but the mentality of the payers allowed us to continue playing until the final whistle.”
Jackson Potter and the Crusaders defense earned their seventh clean sheet of the season.
