WATKINS GLEN — There are a number of area swimmers moving onto the finals at the Watkins Glen Invitational.

In the 200 medley relay Horseheads team of Karina Lapierre, Sibby Lowe, Gabby Janeski and Mia Carro were second in the prelims in 1:54.76. Corning’s Maria Kuksenkova, Erika Liu, Angie McKane and Kara Peters were fifth in 1:56.90.

Corning’s Reese Conway, Cat Riesbeck, Morgan Dahlman and Kelsey McCarthy are in the B final, going 16th in the prelims in 2:17.59.

In the 200 free Peters is in the B final in ninth after the prelims in 2:05.39, while Elise Levantovich was 14th in 2:13.83 and Caitlyn Bain was 16th in 2:14.20.

Lily Hall was 17th in the C final in 2:14.42 with teammate Ali Mosher 19th in 2:16.55.

McKane is the top seed in the 200 IM in 2:08.41 with Carro seventh in 2:26.63. Lapierre is in the B final 12th in 2:34.77 followed by Kuksenkova in 2:35.31. Olivia Schwab is 18th in the C final in 2:49.54 followed by Corning’s Nicole Miller (2:50.94). Horseheads’ Ava Knowlton was 21st in 2:56.96.

Sibby Lowe is third in the 50 free prelims in 25.07 with Janeski eighth in 26.87. Kyra Gross of Corning is in the C final in 18th in 27.91 and Alexis Collins of Notre Dame is 20th in 28.05.

Lowe was the top seed after the prelims in 1:00.11 and Carro is fourth in 1:04.68. Schwab was 18th in the C final in 1:17.07 and Liu was 20th in 1:19.01, while Corning’s Devin Price was 24th in 1:20.95.

McKane is the top seed after the prelims in the 100 in 51.49 with Collins 16th in the B final in 1:02.55. MacKenzie Grover of Horseheads was 17th in 1:03.23 while Gross was 19th in 1:03.54. Becka Hutcheson was 21st in 1:04.84 with Riesbeck 24th in 1:05.21.

Peters was sixth in the 500 free in 5:28.12. Hall was 14th and is in the B final in 6:03.48 followed by Levantovich (6:07.50) and Bain (6:08.58).

Ellie Ballard is in the C final in 20th in 6:20.25 with Leah Gonzalez of Notre Dame 22nd in 6:28.74 followed by Jackie Mayotte of Horseheads in 6:30.67.

In the 200 free relay Corning is fourth in 1:44.41 with a team of McKane, Kuksenkova, Gross and Peters followed by Horseheads team of Sibby Lowe, Janeski, Genevieve Carro and Mia Carro in 1:45.05.  Horseheads team of Anna Lowe, Schwab, Caroline Wilcox and Ava Klesh is in the B final 16th in 1:57.09. Corning’s team of Price, Ballard, Bain and McCarthy are 18th in 1:59.98. Notre Dame’s Leah Gonzalez, Ella Cain, Isabella Mashewske and Collins was 21st in 2:06.04.

Lapierre was eighth in the 100 back prelims in 1:06.24 and is in the A final. Mosher is in the B final ninth in 1:06.65 with Kuksenkova 11th in 1:08.94. Conway was 14th in 1:10.32. Miller is in the C final 19th in 1:11.35 with Dahlman 24th in 1:13.77.

Janeski is sixth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.95 followed by Liu (1:18.25). Genevieve Carro is 12th in 1:22.27) Riesbeck is 17th in 1:24.71 while Klesh is 23rd in 1:29.55.

In the 400 free relay Anna Lowe, Mosher, Lapierre and Levantovich are ninth and in the B final in 4:08.17. Corning is 14th in 4:24.82 with a team of Bain, Gross, Riesbeck and Liu. Horseheads is 16th in 4:31.42 with a team of Grover, Wilcox, Reese Collier and Hall. Corning’s Ballard, Price, Miller and Dahlman is 20th in 4:43.56.
