HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: ELMIRA GOES ON THE ROAD TO FACE WAVERLY (2023-09-22)

The Elmira Express are coming off a win at Baldwinsville last week and they face a tough non-league test this week at Waverly.

The Wolverines were a state Final Four team a year ago and feature a multiple time all-state quarterback in Joey Tomasso.

“Waverly is good,” Elmira coach Jimmy McCauley said. “QB can play. Their defense is physical.”

Elmira knows that they have to play well on the road.

“We will have to be sound in everything we do — offensively, defensively and in special teams,” Hillman said.
