HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: ELMIRA READY FOR ROAD MATCHUP AT BALDWINSVILLE (2023-09-15)

After a shortened game a week ago the Elmira Express are ready to get back on the field as they head to Baldwinsville this week.

“Kids are excited to play,” Elmira coach Jimmy McCauley said.

The Express played a game into the beginning of the second quarter with Liverpool, trailing 14-6 early in the second when weather stopped the game. The game was officially considered a Liverpool win.

Baldwinsville comes into this week 0-2, falling to Jamestown (28-6) and Vestal (28-7).

“Baldwinsville looks tough and explosive,” McCauley said.

The Express know they have to play well on defense in this road game.

“We will have to get hats to the ball on defense and be a great tackling team,” McCauley said.
