HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD: MORDVINOVA WINS 1500 METERS TO HIGHLIGHT ELMIRA'S DAY AT STATE QUALIFIER (10 PHOTOS) (2023-06-01)

ENDICOTT — Vicky Mordvinova won her second event of the meet as she claimed the 1500 meter title at the Section IV State Qualifier at Union-Endicott.

One day after winning the 800 the Elmira senior won the 1500 to make states in a second event. Mordvinova won in 4:40.53. Ella Devlin was 11th in the race in 5:20.08.

Caleb Belanger was 22nd in the 1600 in 4:59.01.

Zalayna Brown as seventh in the 100 hurdles in 17.20.

Nasir Bradford finished fifth in the high jump at 5-feet, 10-inches. Alex McKerrow as sixth in the shot put at 41-feet, 9 1/4-inches.

Elmira finished ninth on the girls side with 26 points and 20th for the boys with five points.
