HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD: STRONG FIRST DAY AT STATE QUALIFIER FOR EDISON (13 PHOTOS) (2023-05-31)

ENDICOTT — The Edison track and field team had a strong first day at the Section IV State Qualifiers at Union-Endicott High School on Thursday.

Evan Bush finished seventh in the pentathlon with a score of 1,292 points through three events. Josie Burleigh was ninth on the girls side at 1,073 through three events.

In the girls’ 3000 meters Maura Heraghty was 19th in 14:00.08.

Hannah Lasko was 10th in the girls’ 400 in 1:02.88. Cody Lucero was seventh in the boys’ 400 in 52.41.

Lasko was 10th in the 200 meter prelims in 27.22.

Lucero was eighth in the 200 prelims in 23.08 to make the final.

Talon LaPlante was eighth in the discus at 123-feet, 6-inches.
