STAC SWIMMING & DIVING: ELMIRA PICKS UP VICTORY OVER BINGHAMTON (2021-10-13)
Southern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — The Elmira swimming and diving team picked up a 91-58 win over Binghamton on Tuesday.
Lydia Barnes, Gabrielle Mattoon, McKenna Malone and Ava Sherman picked up the win in the 200 medley relay in 2:10.53.
Barnes was second in the 200 free in 2:26.31 and Sarah McMaster was second in the 200 IM in 3:07.66 followed by teammate Bridget Hagan (3:10.37).
Sherman won the 50 free in 29.90 followed by Mattoon (30.30) and teammate Ahmiya Roney (31.01).
Lydia Benjamin of Elmira won the diving at 216.35 followed with Emma Beach third (161.60).
In the 100 free Natalie Rose was second in 1:08.36 and Sherman was third in 1:08.37.
Malone won the 500 free in 6:05.77 and in the 200 free relay Rose, Mattoon, McMaster and Ashleigh Bertelsen won in 2:06.19.
Madelyn Cavalier was second in the 100 back in 1:17.25 and Maren Novotny was third in 1:19.36.
As an exhibition Mattoon had the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.52 followed by teammates Elizabeth Robbins (1:35.32) and McMaster (1:36.62).
Cavalier, Sherman, Barnes and Malone had the fastest time in the 400 free relay as an exhibition in 4:27.85.
