CORNING — It was a defensive battle all game, so it was only fitting that the defense turned Wednesday’s game on Wednesday as Corning topped Horseheads 21-7 in flag football action.

A 7-7 game changed as Corning’s Macey Page had a pick-six and ran 60 yards for the touchdown. Hannah Smith then hit 4 with the extra-point try.

Horseheads struck first on Wednesday as Alexis Knox ran in for a touchdown. Jessica Als then hit Lindsey Bohrer with the extra point.

Corning answered right back as Felker hauled in a 55-yard touchdown catch from Smith. Smith hit Grace Robertson for the extra point.

After the pick six put Corning up 14-7 the final score came as Felker caught her second touchdown from Smith. Smith then hit Riley Austin with the extra point.
