HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: HORSEHEADS HITS THREE HOME RUNS, THREE TRIPLES IN WIN OVER BINGHAMTON (2023-04-27)
Southern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — The Horseheads softball team hit three home runs, and three triples, as they beat Binghamton 30-0 on Thursday.
Horseheads scored nine runs in the fourth and 11 in the fifth to blow the game open.
Megan Wolf had a triple and a home run, with five RBI and two runs scored.
Kristen Cole had a home run, three RBI and two runs scored and Katie Hinman had a home run with two hits, four RBI and two runs scored.
Bella Giammichele had three hits, with a double and a triple, six RBI and four runs scored in the game.
Kailey McCormick had a double with two hits, two RBI and three runs scored and Molly Wolf had two hits, with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored.
Lacey Baker had two hits, three RBI and two runs scored and Rachel Lunger had two hits and scored two runs.
Emily Huntley and Sophia Bonnell each had hits. Huntley had an RBI and a run scored and Bonnell had an RBI and scored two runs.
Katie Morse scored three runs in the game and and Caitlin Yearick scored two runs. Maddie Matkosky had an RBI and a run scored.
Megan Wolf went two innings, getting five strikeouts among her six outs and allowing just one walk and no hits. Huntley went three innings, striking out four and allowing just two hits and a walk.
