HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: ND HITS TWO HOME RUNS AS THEY TOP SVEC (2023-04-26)
Southern Tier Sports ReportSOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame softball team hit two home runs on the day as they beat SVEC 14-3 on Wednesday.
The last time the two teams met Notre Dame won a low-scoring 4-2 matchup. This time Notre Dame had 16 hits and Lawson Bigelow and Shannon Maloney each hit home runs in the win.
Bigelow has homered in four of her past five games. She was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI.
Maloney had the home run, two RBI and two runs scored.
Ava Mustico had two hits, with a triple, and three runs scored and Olivia Switzer had a double, an RBI and a run scored.
Payton Miller had two hits, three RBI and a run scored and Meg Agan had three hits, an RbI and a run scored.
Izzy Griffin had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.
Maddie Fargo had a hit and a run scored and Reagan Burge had a hit and scored a run.
Switzer went the distance, striking out 12 and allowing five hits.
