HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: LAMBERT, SMITH COMBINE ON ONE-HITTER, ELMIRA ROLLS TO WIN AT BINGHAMTON (2023-04-21)

ELMIRA — The Elmira softball team scored at least three runs in each inning and got a one-hitter from Madison Smith and Hannah Lambert on their way to a 13-0 win over Binghamton.

Lambert started and Smith worked the last two innings. The two struck out four and allowed just the one hit in the win.

Ava Sherman and Madisen Jones each had two hits and Payton Ross, Ryleigh Ogden and Gracie Knapp had hits in the game.

Ross scored two runs, Mackenzie Fusare scored two runs, Allie Howe and Abby Lambert scored runs in the game.

Sherman had an RBI and two runs scored, Ogden had an RBI and two runs scored, Jones scored a run and Knapp had an RBI and two runs scored.
