Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — Daphne Sherman had a home run among her three hits and the Corning softball team moved to 6-1 with a 12-2 win over previously unbeaten Addison.
Corning led 1-0 heading into the third inning, but scored two in the third, three in the fourth, runs in the fifth and sixth and four in the seventh inning of the win.
Sherman had three hits, a home run, two RBI and a run scored. Kendall Curreri had two hits, with four runs scored and Peyton Sullivan had two hits, with a double, an RBI and four runs scored.
Sullivan also got the win on the mound, striking out seven and allowing six hits and two unearned runs.
Maddie Dibble had a double and an RBI and Courtney Searfoss had a hit and two RBI, while Lauren DeRosa had a hit and an RBI and Lily MacNeal had a hit and scored a run.
Hayden Robertson and Sophia Polzella each scored runs in the game.
