HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: NOTRE DAME PICKS UP VICTORY OVER EDISON (2023-04-12)
Southern Tier Sports ReportSOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame softball team moved to 3-1 on the season as they handed Edison their first loss of the season, 9-1.
Meg Agan had three hits for Notre Dame, driving in a run and scoring a run and Ava Mustico, Olivia Switzer and Lawson Bigelow all had two hit days.
Mustico had a triple, two RBI and two runs scored, Switzer had a double and a run scored and Bigelow had a double and two RBI.
Izzy Griffin, Reagan Burge, Sullivan and Maddie Fargo all had hits for Notre Dame. Griffin scored a run, Fargo had an RBI and a run scored and Burge had two RBI. Payton Miller had an RBI and a run scored.
Switzer struck out 12 in a four-hitter on the mound.
Edison got a double from Kailey Ripley and hits from Maliyah McIver, Mariana Jones-Frosolone and Brianna Gorsky. Jones-Frosolone scored the Spartans run.
Gabby Milazzo went five innings, striking out six and Jones-Frosolone struck out one in one inning.
