Southern Tier Sports ReportONEONTA — Kellan Murphy had a nine-point day in Notre Dame’s win on Saturday putting him over 100 career points.
Notre Dame opened the season with a 19-3 win at Oneonta, with Murphy scoring five goals and adding four assists to put him at 107 career points. He entered the day with 98 points.
Shane Maloney had 10 points and now is just one point shy of 100 going into Tuesday’s game against Watkins Glen. Maloney had six goals and four assists on the day.
Liam Schweizer had four goals and two assists in the game and Kevin Green had a goal and two assists, while going 17-for-17 on face-offs and adding 19 ground balls.
Vinnie Campanelli had two goals and an assist and Garrin Dougherty finished with a goal and an assist.
Savi Waters had an assist for Notre Dame and AJ Miller made six saves in goal.
“The defense was tough all day and they kept the ball on our offensive end for most of the day,” Notre Dame coach Geoff Crossley said.
Oneonta’s goalie had 12 saves in net.
