COLLEGE SOFTBALL: BUSH OFF TO DOMINANT START FOR D'YOUVILLE SOFTBALL (2023-03-17)

Edison graduate Mikayla Bush is off to a red hot start for the D’Youville softball team through the first 15 games of the season.

Bush is tied for the team lead in batting average, among those with at least 25 at bats, hitting .370 on the year. She’s got an on-base percentage of .420.

Bush is tied for the team lead with 17 hits and she’s second on the team with nine runs scored. She’s third on the team with eighth RBI this season, starting all 15 games.

D’Youville has started their season in South Carolina and Florida, and they will return home next week when they are at LeMoyne for a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Bush has six multi-hits this game, including in the most recent game today when she went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in a win over New Haven.

She had a 3-for-3 game on March 13 against Felician and she had a three-hit game on opening day against Converse.

Bush started the year in dominant fashion, hitting in her first five games, with multi hits in her first two games and three of her first five games of the year.

Bush has struck out just three times all season, the second fewest strikeouts of any regular in the lineup.
