The Basketball Coaches Association of New York named their boys and girls’ all-Section 4 teams.

The girls have a first team all-section, a second-team and an honorable mention. The boys have a first and second team.

If a boy or girl made the first or second team they will be eligible to play in the BCANY Second Annual All-Star game. The game will be Tuesday, March 21 at Elmira College’s Speidel Gymnasium.

The girls will tip-off at 5:45 p.m. and the boys begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission to watch both games is $5 and gates open about 5 p.m.

In order to be eligible for the all-star teams a coach must be a member of BCANY.

For the girls Jalea Abrams of Elmira is the AA player of the year. The A player of the year is Kaety L’Amoreaux of Maine-Endwell. Newark Valley’s Makana Gardner is the B player of the year, Kailey Kalet of Union Springs is the Class C player of the year and Madalyn Barrows of Oxford is the Class D Player of the Year.

The first-team girls selections are Abrams and Corning’s Jenna DiNardo and Alyssa Dobson.

L’Amoreaux is on the first team with Sophia Bonnell of Horseheads and Adrianna Fontana of U-E.

Johnson City’s Marisa Smith and Precious Gabriel are on the first team with Gardner and Hayley Beebe of Newark Valley.

Waverly’s Kennedy Westbrook, Forks’ Maggie Warpus, Kalet and Payton Gilbert of Union Springs, Payton Littlefield of Edison and Barrows are on the first team.

The second team includes Mia Little of Ithaca; Binghamton’s Sugar Williams and Mariah Luke; Horseheads’ Megan Wolf; U-E’s Allison Dipietro and Ally Stank; Johnson City’s Emma Phelan; Chenango Valley’s Madeline Triskett and Madelyn Hayes; Madison McEvoy of Owego; Notre Dame’s Shannon Maloney; Payton Yahner of Greene; Union Springs’ Daniell Waldron; Moravia’s Chloe Hanson; Southern Cayuga’s Charlie Bennett and Joleen Lusk of Charlotte Valley.

The honorable mention all stars are Melody Fans of Binghamton; Ellie Clearwater of Elmira; Johnson City’s Annabel Burke of Johnson City; Susquehanna Valley’s Bryn Hogan; Oneonta’s Abbie Platt; Helena Willis of Chenango Forks; Newark Valley’s Jasmine Graham; KylieMussaw of Unatego; Rachel Vickio of Watkins Glen; Allison Kehoe of Moravia; Odessa-Montour’s Hannah Nolan; Nat Vrendenburgh of Delhi and Hannah Bonczkowski of Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton.

The girls coaches of the year are Willie Fans of Binghamton (AA); Mike Howell of U-E (A); Greg Schweiger of Newark Valley (B); Andy Kalet of Union Springs (C) and Chris Palmer of Oxford (D).

For the boys the co-players of the year in AA are Chris Woodard of Elmira and Luke Little of Ithaca.

Zubayr Griffen of Johnson City is the Class A player of the year, the co-players of the year in Class B are Trevor Warpus of Chenango Forks and John Bangel of Owego. Evan Sickler of Tioga is the Class C player of the year and Connor Quarino of South Kortright is the Class D player of the year.

Ryan Johnson of Elmira is the AA coach of the year, Jeff Limoncelli of Horseheads is the Class A coach of the year; Chris Evans of Owego is the Class B coach of the year, Brian Card of Tioga is the Class C coach of the year and Aaron Kaufman of South Kortright is the coach of the year in Class D.

The first team includes Griffen, Andrew Erickson of Seton Catholic; Jeremy Truax of Horseheads; Little and Woodard; Warpus and Bangel; Cullen Green of Maine-Endwell; Logan Booker and Jackson Casey of Corning; Joey Tomasso of Waverly and Sickler.

The second team includes Marathon’s Connor Holland; Delaware Academy’s Luke Schnabel; Quarino; Justin Yearwood of Ithaca; Qsan Tucker of Johnson City; Mekai Lindsey of Union-Endicott; Susquehanna Valley’s Luke Kariam; Nick Lang of U-E; Amauri Truax of Horseheads; Joe Bangel of Owego; Anthony Kitching of Elmira; William Holmes of Ithaca and Aidan Fenkl of Maine-Endwell.
