DINARDO, KEEGAN, BOOKER, CASEY PRESENTED WITH GEORGE BACALLES MEMORIAL AWARDS (2023-03-13)

Four Corning-Painted Post senior athletes were recognized with the annual George Bacalles Memorial Award on Saturday at the CPP Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The recipients have demonstrated outstanding performances as a member of at least one high school athletic team and also have exemplary character, citizenship, and a solid academic performance. The students are selected by coaches under the direction of the athletic director.

The late George Bacalles was a strong supporter of youth activities in this area during his lifetime. He was also a sports editor of The Leader and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame.

The four winners this year are Jenna Dinardo, Olivia Keegan, Logan Booker and Jackson Casey.

JENNA DINARDO
Key member of the Hawks volleyball, basketball and lacrosse teams.

Captain and all-star for volleyball, basketball and lacrosse teams.

Named Section IV Player of the Year in volleyball. Setter of the year in volleyball.

Names Section IV Defensive Player of the year in basketball. Named to BCANY First team in basketball.

Scored over 100 goals for Hawks girls lacrosse team.

Named female athlete of the year.

Member of the National Honor Society.

Wineglass, Walk for Wishes, Toys for Tots Volunteer.

Will be attending University of Virginia on a lacrosse scholarship.

OLIVIA KEEGAN
Named to the All-Twin Tiers All-Star  Volleyball team. Named to the NYS Fifth Team for volleyball. Southern Tier Volleyball Offensive Player of the year.

NYSPHSAA Final Four, all-tournament team.

Member of the Hawks 2019 State Championship softball team.

Named to the scholar athlete teams in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Member of the National Honor Society.

Wineglass Marathon volunteer.

Rings bell for the Salvation Army during the holidays.

LOGAN BOOKER
Named to the NYS football all-state third team as a defensive back.

Captain of the Hawks football team.

Rushed for over 1,000 yards as a junior and a senior.

Named to the All-Region football team.

Named to all-league football team.

Key member of the Hawks basketball team as a junior and senior.

Member of the National Honor Society.

Volunteers to mow lawns and shovel snow for those who need help.

Positive role model for the younger kids in the school district.

JACKSON CASEY
A five-year starter for the Hawks basketball team.

Named Section IV Player of the Year. Named to NYS fifth team all-state.

Key member of the Hawks soccer and lacrosse teams.

Member of six different section title teams in three sports.

Won two titles each in basketball, soccer and lacrosse.

Wineglass Marathon Volunteer.

Serves as a tough leader at his church.
