HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS' BOWLING: ELMIRA FINISHES FIFTH AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2023-03-10)

SYRACUSE — The Elmira girls bowling team finished fifth in the state at the NYSPHSAA Bowling Championships at Strike N’ Spare Lanes on Friday.

Elmira had a six-game total of 5,064. Baldwinsville won at 5,680.

Elmira shot 809, 898 and 842 for a 2,549 through the first three games. They then shot 820, 890 and 805 for a 2,515.

Madison Smith led Elmira by taking 15th with a 1,060. She averaged 175.50 for her six games, shooting 169, 177, 159, 172, 188 and 188.

Abigail Cunningham was just one spot back of her teammate, shooting 1,031 with an average of 171.83. She shot 179, 171, 214, 141, 187 and 139.

Abbigail Hink was 18th. She shot 1,013 with a 168.83 average. She had games of 166, 174, 157, 166, 192 and 158.

Hayle Avery took 21st. She shot 984 with a 164 average. She shot games of 127, 179, 178, 173, 176 and 151.

Arabella Wood was 23rd. She shot 983 and averaged 163.83. She shot 168, 197, 134, 168, 147 and 169 on the day.
