ELMIRA HEIGHTS — Three players hit for their career highs in scoring, another had a career high in assists and the Edison girls’ basketball team hit 12 threes as they beat Candor 75-23 on Monday night.

It’s the second time in a week that the Spartans hit 12 threes, after reaching the same total in a win over Waverly last week.

It’s a fourth straight win for the Spartans as Gianna McGee, Charlee Stroman and Gabby Milazzo all had career highs in scoring in the game.

McGee had 23 points, topping her career high to lead the team in scoring. She added six steals in the game.

Stroman had a career-best 13 points, along with three steals, three assists and three boards, and Milazzo had a career-high 11 points, with nine boards and four assists.

Payton Littlefield nearly hit for a triple-double in the game. She had a career-high nine assists, with nine boards and 19 points. She added four steals.

Harper Hoffmann had six points, eight boards, three blocks and two steals and Kailey Ripley had three points, two boards and a steal in the game.

Stroman, Milazzo and Littlefield all hit three threes in the game, McGee had two threes and Ripley had one three.
