VESTAL — The Corning boys’ bowling team won the STAC Championship on Monday night.

The Hawks shot a 3,233 series to win the title. Owego was second at 3,126.

Cameron Kennedy won the individual title with a 751 series, shooting games of 236, 257 and 258.

Corning’s Joseph Enderle took third at 703 with games of 231, 236 and 236.

Cam Stefanini finished sixth at 636 with games of 266, 201 and 169. Phil Borden shot 184-203-198-585 and Matt Hoffman shot 192-176-190-558.

The 266 by Stefanini was the highest game of the day.

The teams that won their division bowled in the STAC Championships, the rest of the teams bowled in the season-ending tournament.

Corning’s girls were second in the season-ending tournament at 2,485 with a high game of 839 on the day.

Hanna Millhollen had the third best series in the season-ending tournament with a 559 and Kylie Downing was sixth at 551. Alexa VanAlstine had a 484 series and Briannah Evans shot 472.

Millhollen tied for the second highest game of the day with a 224. Downing had a 193 for a high game and Evans had a 183 as a high game.

Corning’s boys will look to defend their sectional championship in two weeks, Feb. 18, back at Midway Lanes.
