Southern Tier Sports Report
The second day of the STAC Wrestling Championships takes place, while the IAC Wrestling Championships also begin, and there is plenty of basketball on the schedule.

WRESTLING
HORSEHEADS, CORNING, ELMIRA AT STAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
AT OWEGO, 10 A.M.
Horseheads has six semifinalists (Ryan Massengale, Coleton Owen, Cody Dale, Lucas Mosher, Liam Levantovich and Hunter Lavigne). Elmira has three semifinals (Donavan Smith, Ryder Reese Depadua and Liam Ogden) and Corning has two semifinalists (Logan Bruce and Clayton Smith).

All other wrestlers for each team are alive in the wrestle backs as the day begins.

EDISON AT IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
AT WAVERLY, 9:30 A.M.
The Spartans head to Waverly to compete in the IAC Wrestling Championships. Edison is led by Cody Lucero, who placed at the rugged Southern Tier Memorial a week ago.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
HORSEHEADS AT JOHNSON CITY, 1:45 P.M.
The Blue Raiders take to the road to take on a Johnson City team that features a lot of size. Horseheads is coming off a win over Elmira.

ELMIRA AT JAMESTOWN, NOON
The Express take to the road for a non-league matchup. Elmira is coming off a loss to Horseheads.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL
JOHNSON CITY AT HORSEHEADS, 6:45 P.M.
Coming off a win over Elmira, the Blue Raiders are home again as they host Johnson City.

ELMIRA AT JAMESTOWN, 1:45 P.M.
The Express take to the road for a tough non-league matchup. Elmira fell to Horseheads in their last game.
