OWEGO — The Corning Hawks have a pair of wrestlers into the semifinals after the first day of the STAC Championships.

Logan Bruce is in the semifinals at 145 for the Hawks, pinning Jozsiah Varga in 5:27 in the quarterfinals.

Clayton Smith had a 7-2 win over Logan Barnes of Union-Endicott in the 152 pound quarterfinals to make the semis.

Dalton Webb is in the consolations for the Hawks at 110 and Matt Mahon is alive in the consolations at 132.

Tyler Farrand is in the consolation round at 138. Mason Horton is in the consolation rounds at 172.
